BIRD FEST ARTS 2011
Art is an important component of Bird Fest.
We are offering:
- "Hike and Draw with Heather Murphy" on Friday, May 13, morning. Heather is a retired Wildlife Biologist, now an artist. Her trips are great fun, and you will learn a lot about drawing and birds from one of our most sought after field trip guides.
This popular field trip will be capped with a delicious box lunch on the deck of spectacular Mountain Home Lodge--a long time Bird Fest sponsor.
- "Lake Birds: Float and Draw" with Heather Murphy and Lori Aylesworth, Thursday, May 12, morning.
Take a relaxing pontoon boat ride on scenic Fish Lake, and learn from either of two wonderful artists who are also kind teachers.
- "Talkin' Birds, Talkin' Art" reception at Mountain Springs Lodge, Friday, May 13, afternoon, featuring artist Ed Newbold and other nature artists and field trip guides. This will be an Informal reception where birders can chat about what they've seen so far, meet special guests, and take a birding walk through varied habitat on the beautiful grounds of Mountain Springs Lodge in Plain.
- "Nature Artists at Snow Creek Yoga," Thursday, May 12 through Sunday, May 15, noon--4 PM, view beautiful visual art created by well known local artists, in the serene venue of Bird Fest sponsor: Snow Creek Yoga Studio.
